The "GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS" is a high-profile marketing campaign by wein.plus and its partners. With five high-profile competitions, it aims to actively support you as a producer in marketing your wines, because attractive awards strengthen your reputation and the trust in your wines. The "GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS 2026" comprise the following five competitions:
The following registration deadline applies to each competition:
- Silvaner: July 24, 2026
- Sauvignon Blanc: September 11, 2026
- Sparkling wine: September 18, 2026
- Burgundy varieties: October 9, 2026
- Riesling: November 27, 2026
The award ceremony will take place
on February 28, 2027
at the
EUROVINO trade fair
in Karlsruhe.
The tasting
To participate, simply submit at least one wine for tasting and evaluation. You can register any wine that meets the respective grape variety specifications, regardless of origin, quality level, taste, or vintage.
All wines are tasted and evaluated by our independent, experienced and professional tasting team, who taste the wines blind and under laboratory conditions.
If you would like to participate in several competitions, you are welcome to send us your wines in one shipment.
The Awards
The best wines from each competition are awarded the "GOLDEN GRAPE AWARD" in a variety of categories. These awards are presented in the levels of Great Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The highest-scoring wines overall receive a special award – another opportunity for you!
You will receive your awards immediately after the results of each competition are published, so you can share them with your customers and sales partners right away. The highlight will be the official awards ceremony on February 28, 2027, at the EUROVINO trade fair in Karlsruhe.
By publishing your awards on the website of each competition and at the final event, you as a participating producer benefit from a unique reach to present your achievements to industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.
Your marketing advantages
For every award-winning wine, you will receive not only a certificate but also comprehensive marketing materials: You and your sales partners can use the certificates and seals bearing the awards free of charge. You will also receive an online marketing kit for social media to showcase your award-winning wines.
During registration, you can choose whether all your submitted wines should also be published free of charge on Europe's largest online wine platform, wein.plus, including descriptions and ratings. This allows you to reach thousands of additional wine enthusiasts both domestically and internationally – in five languages!
The categories
The “GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS 2026” will be awarded in various categories at each individual competition. A distinction will be made between three quality classes (basic, upper class, premium), residual sugar content, quality level, and, where applicable, color or designation.

The participation fees
Boost your reputation and the confidence in your wines by participating in the “GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS 2026”! The more wines you submit, the higher your chances of winning one of the coveted awards.
Participation costs just €89 per competition for one wine, €60 for the second wine, and €50 for each additional wine (all prices plus 19% VAT). The aforementioned marketing support for winning wines, as well as the royalty-free use of the material in print and online media, are already included in these fees.
Participation in the “GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS” is free for Business Premium members of wein.plus!
The Business Premium membership is worthwhile for you even with just six wines. For example: If you register three wines each for two competitions (e.g., Burgundy varieties and Riesling) without a Premium membership, you'll pay €398. The Business Premium membership costs you only €32.90 per month, and you can then participate in all competitions with any number of wines. You'll also benefit from numerous other valuable marketing advantages.
When registering for the “GOLDEN GRAPE AWARDS”, you can indicate that you would like to become a Business Premium member and immediately benefit from the cost advantage.
